在 Wired 看到一篇介绍 Firefox 3 Alpha 2 的文章。我来总结一下 Firefox 3 的一些新特性。
- 使用新的 Gecko 1.9 rendering engine (渲染引擎？），因此不再支持 Windows 95, Windows 98, 和 Windows ME，OS X 也只支持 10.3.9 以上的版本。
- Mozilla 第一个完全遵循 Acid2 的浏览器。
- 对于 Mac 使用者来说，Firefox 3 将会原生支持 Cocoa widget。
- Firefox 3 比 Firefox 2 速度上快上许多，特别是浏览 Flickr 这种网站。
另外，大家都非常关心的内存占用问题，有望在 Alpha 3 中解决。Alpha 3 中引入了一种被称作垃圾收集系统的机制，可以解决一直以来 Firefox 随着使用内存占用越来越大的问题。
