升级 Wordpress 2.0.5 到 2.0.6 的步骤

升级到 Wordpress 2.0.6 是一个必需 (mandatory)，Wordpress 网站上列出了升级步骤，不过像以前一样，有点过于保守，其实真正升级起来不必严格按照其列出的步骤执行。

如果用 FTP 上传的话，首先要确认 FTP 软件默认的设置为上传时覆盖 Wordpress 目录中的文件，这样可以保证所有的文件都被更新。然后只需要上传新版的所有文件到 Wordpress 目录中就行了。

Wordpress 本身虽然不大，但由于文件数量有好几百个，上传还是挺费时间的，尤其是当上传速度不快时。如果你的虚拟主机支持 Shell 的话，就方便很多。

wget http://wordpress.org/latest.tar.gz
tar -xzf latest.tar.gz
cp -rpf ./wordpress/* ./wordpress directory

这样升级就完成了。注意：如果你在使用 Wordpress 自带的主题，并做自己做了修改，则需要事先备份，否则会被新版的相应主题覆盖。2.0.6 更新了 Akismet 插件，如果你不想升级 Akismet 的话，也请事先备份。

Wordpress 2.0.6 已经出现了一个 bug，当某些 RSS consumer (比如 Feedburner) 试图获取你的 blog feed 时，会出来 304 错误。这个错误只在某些服务器上出现。具体的修补请参考这篇文章来解决。2.0.7 版会修复这个错误。

更新：关于修复 304 错误，花儿开了给出了一个中文的版本。

    Hi,

    Do u mean i can just FTP everything (2.0.6) onto my existing root folder???

    And also, about their procedures, i just can’t understand this:

    No. 1. Delete /wp-admin/ folder.

    No. 2. Delete /wp-includes/ folder.

    No. 4. Delete all the wordpress files in the root directory where the root index.php file is found

    If you proceed with No. 4., why do we need to execute No. 1. and No. 2 ? since both /wp-admin/ folder and /wp-includes/ folder reside in the root directory as well.

    Yes, you can ftp everything in your blog’s folder, since some ftp clients’ default configuration is to leave files unchanged under certain circumstances. You have to make sure the old files are properly overwritten by the new files.

    About the procedures, step 4 asks you to delete all the FILES under the folder where index.php lies in, here “files” doesn’t include folders.

    这个bug也不是谁都能遇上，据称只是Apache跑mod_php才会出现。

    wordpress升级至2.0.6…

    把wordpress升级至2.0.6，过程是极其痛苦的。
    为何痛苦？都是地震惹得祸。
    最后还是使用SSH（在那些痛苦经历过后，才去support那里问，怎样玩SSH。他回答我说只要在users那里edit用户，选上ssh就….
